Classmates, Colleagues, Friends, Family

Travelling alone can often be a daunting experience. Knowing where to go, what to see, where to eat, how to make human connections. One great way to make new friendships across any age and nationality is diving! Diving joins us all with the fascintaion of what lies beneath the waves! With this in common there is never a dull moment or awkward silence! Diving is full of charatcers, and we make special bonds and friendships with the people we expeirince the underwater world with! Diving is also agreat way to learn about and challenge your self. Bored become excited. Shy become confident. Single become family.

I traveled from Denmark to Bali to take my Divemaster, which was a big step for me, since my English was not that good.. But the easiest way to learn it, is to just take that big step and believe in yourself. It definitely helped that I knew there were some danish people that could help me at Crystal Divers Bali.

All of us Divemaster’s are staying at the same homestay nearby the dive center, so we can always help each other. Mostly we sit outside our rooms on the big balcony, and if not we just knock on each other’s doors, to ask for help or if they wanna join for a beer or two.

I’m a huge family person, so I was really nervous that I would get homesick a lot, but it’s really not that bad, when you have so many amazing people around you. We’re almost like a little family. I already know that I will keep the contact with all of them when I come home even though we all live all over the world. It’s awesome how quick you can bond when you have the same interests.

Even though we’re all really different people, our relationships is amazing. The differences between us gives us the opportunity to learn from each other. I learned a lot from the other guys because everyone has a different way of achieving the same goal, and everybody loves to give out of their experience to help each other out.

Going through the Divemaster course has taught me to believe in myself, my ability and I’m ready to take on any challenge that awaits me. If you’re in need of a buddy give me a call!
